ScoreBoard (“we”, “our”, “the app”) is a score keeping application available on iOS and the web at thescorekeeper.app. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
Game Data: Game names, team names, scores, and settings you create are stored locally on your device (localStorage on the web and SwiftData on iOS). On iOS, this data may sync through your iCloud account. When you use Live Sharing, the shared game data is sent to Google Firebase Firestore.
Anonymous Authentication: The iOS app creates a Firebase anonymous session at launch so Live Sharing is ready when requested. The web app creates one when Firebase-backed features need it. Firebase assigns an anonymous user identifier; ScoreBoard does not ask for your name, email address, or phone number.
Analytics: The iOS app uses Aptabase to process usage events such as game creation, settings changes, and sharing actions. These events can include a random session identifier, event properties, locale, operating-system name and version, app version and build, SDK version, and device model. ScoreBoard does not send your game names, team names, email address, advertising identifier, or precise location to Aptabase.
Feature Feedback: If you open the feature-request area, vote, comment, or submit a request, FeaturePortal creates an app-specific anonymous identifier and processes the feature title, description, comment, or vote you choose to provide.
When you share a game live, its game name, team names, scores, and settings are stored in Google Firebase Firestore. Anyone with an edit or view code can access the corresponding shared game, so treat share codes as private links. Stopping sharing requests deletion of both the edit and view records. A record may otherwise remain until it is removed by the service.
The iOS app uses Apple’s iCloud to sync your games across your devices. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
ScoreBoard uses Google Firebase for anonymous authentication and Live Sharing, Apple iCloud for optional iOS sync, Aptabase for iOS usage analytics, FeaturePortal for optional feature feedback, and Vercel to host the website. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms.
Web app: Game data is stored in your browser’s localStorage. Clearing your browser data will delete your games.
iOS app: Game data is stored on your device using SwiftData and may sync through your iCloud account.
Shared games: Shared records are stored in Google Firebase Firestore until the owner successfully stops sharing or the service removes them. ScoreBoard does not promise an automatic deletion schedule.
Analytics and feedback: Aptabase and FeaturePortal retain the data they process according to their service configurations and terms.
ScoreBoard does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to use.
